Ar-duino uno R3 is based on the ATmega328 microcontroller board. Ar-duino uno R3 has 14 digital I/O ports (six of which can be used for PWM output),6 analog ports,a 16MHz crystal oscillator,a USB interface,and a DC power socket. An ICSP header and a reset button.

Ar-duino is not just a small development board,but an open source electronic development platform based on flexible and easy-to-use hardware and software. Detailed introduction

1 Power

Ar-duino UNO has three power supply methods:

Powered by USB interface,the voltage is 5 V;

Powered by the DC power input interface,the voltage requirement is 7-12 V;

Power is supplied through the 5 V or VIN port at the power supply interface. The power supply at the 5 V port must be 5 V,and the power supply at the VIN port is 7 to 12 V.

2 Indicator light(LED)

Ar-duino UNO has 4 LED indicators,the functions are as follows:

ON,Power Indicator. When the Ar-duino is powered on,the ON light will turn on.

TX,Serial port sending indicator. When the USB is connected to the computer and the Ar-duino transfers data to the computer,the TX light will light up.

RX,Serial port receiving indicator. When using USB to connect to the computer and the Ar-duino receives the data from the computer,the RX light will be on.

L,Programmable control indicator. The LED is connected to pin 13 of the Ar-duino through a special circuit. When pin 13 is high or high impedance,the LED will light up; when it is low,it will not light up. Therefore,the LED can be turned on or off through a program or an external input signal.

3 Reset button(Reset Button)

Press this button to restart the Ar-duino and start the program from the beginning.

4 storage(Memory)

The storage space of Ar-duino is the storage space integrated with its main control chip. You can also expand the storage space of Ar-duino by using peripheral chips.Ar-duino UNO has three types of storage space:

Flash with a capacity of 32 KB. 0.5 KB is used as the BOOT area to store the boot program,and the function of downloading the program through the serial port is realized; the other 31.5 KB is used as the space for the user to store the program. Compared with the hard disks with hundreds of GB at present,32 KB may be too small,but on the single-chip microcomputer,32 KB can store large programs.

SRAM with a capacity of 2 KB. SRAM is equivalent to the memory of a computer. When the CPU performs calculations,it needs to open up a certain storage space in it. When the Ar-duino is powered off or reset,the data in it will be lost. EEPROM with a capacity of 1 KB.

The full name of EEPROM is electrically erasable programmable read-only memory. It is a user-modifiable read-only memory. Its characteristic is that after the Ar-duino is powered off or reset,the data in it will not be lost.

 

5 Input/Output Port

Ar-duino UNO has 14 digital input/output ports and 6 analog input ports. Some of them have special functions. These ports are as follows:

UART communication,0 (RX) and 1 (TX) pins,used to receive and send serial data. These two pins communicate with the computer by connecting to ATmega16 U2. External interrupt,2 and 3 pins,can input external interrupt signal.

PWM output,pins 3,5,6,9,10 and 11 can be used to output PWM waves. SPI communication is 10 (SS),11 (MOSI),12 (MISO) and 13 (SCK) pins,which can be used for SPI communication.

TWI communication is A4 (SDA),A5 (SCL) pin and TWI interface,which can be used for TWI communication and compatible with IIC communication

AREF,Input port for analog input reference voltage.

Reset,Reset the port. Connecting low will reset the Ar-duino. When the reset button is pressed,the port will be connected to a low level,thereby resetting the Ar-duino.

 

6 Important pin introduction

Power pin: The development board can provide 3.3V and 5V voltage output,and the Vin pin can be used to power the development board from an external power supply.

Analog In pin: Analog input pin. The development board can read external analog signals. A0 ~ A5 are analog input pins.

Digital pin: UNO R3 has 14 digital I/O pins,6 of which can be used for PWM (pulse width modulation) output. Digital pins are used to read logic values (0 or 1) or as digital output pins to drive external modules. Pins marked with "~" can generate PWM.

TX and RX pins: The two pins marked TX (transmit) and RX (receive) are used for serial communication. The LED lights marked TX and RX are connected to the corresponding pins and flash at different speeds during serial communication.

13-pin: The 13th pin is marked on the development board and connected to the on-board LED light. The LED light can be turned on and off by controlling the 13-pin. Generally,the on-board lights on the development board will flash when they get it,which can help detect whether the development board is normal.
